Xiaomi Amazfit Cor 2 Released in China

Huami has been making some noise lately when it comes to wearables, it has been making headlines for its budget friendly products and few months back it successfully launched the Amazfit Cor Smartband. This company is known to be Xiaomi’s backed company and recently they announced about launching a new product, the successor of the Cor smartband.

It’s the Amazfit Cor 2 Smartband which was launched recently in China. Huami live up to its goal of expanding range of wearables with this latest venture. Though the design looks similar to its first gen cor, this Amazfit Cor 2 Smartband upgraded its battery life capacity and supports payments through NFC.

The Amazfit Cor 2 Smartband sports a 1.23 inch LCD color display and same as the Cor Smartband has 2.5 curved glass. The screen display is protected with a layer of anti-fingerprint coating. Huami says that it will support bus card swipes and transport cards in China since this has NFC connectivity for payments.

It comes also with 5 ATM water resistant rating which is a good feature since you can use it for swimming and no worries about using it in rainy weather. The body is made with polycarbonate so it’s lightweight and won’t be a hassle when you have sports activities. This wearable same as the Cor is a fitness tracker; can used be used as pedometer, distance travelled, calorie counter, optical heart rate sensor and monitors sleep.

According to the brand they upgraded its battery life which Cor2 differs from the first gen. It can sustain up to 20 days of battery life in standard mode with its 160 mAh battery. This product as we unveiled the features is already available in China. According to the brand it will be sold at CNY 299 or at $43, there’s still no update if when will it be available in the international scene, however it has been recently received a stamp of approval from the FCC which can only means, it might be available internationally anytime soon but for now we can only have to take a look with its full specs.
