Avon Smartwatch – Akantha, Stylish Ladies Smartwatch
Avon got some pretty wearables in its product line-up. One of the latest wearables in its arsenal is the Amazon smartwatch Akantha watch Gen 2. The smartwatch Akantha generation 2 has an improved look compared to the first generation with a more simple design.
The first gen Akantha is geared more on a unisex type, the Avon smartwatch Akantha gen 2 has a metal body with a physical button on the side looking like a classic wristwatch. But one thing that makes the Akathon Gen 2 very attractive is the metal bezel encrusted with sparkling jewel. The wearable has a premium metal strap with stainless steel buckle. Although the body is circular in design, the smartwatch screen display is not.
It has a 1.22” inch OLED design with a 240 x 204 pixel resolution. The screen display is not a full circle, it is flat on the bottom screen resembling a flat tire, having empty space on the bottom part. Yes, the screen display might not be a full circle but still, the screen is wide enough to show detailed information especially on notifications.

Notification Features, it is equipped with these features. Call notifications, there’s also SMS notification. Although it is not stated on the product page, we believe that the smartwatch supports social app notifications. Other alerts include, alarm, Do not Disturb mode,
For its health and fitness functions. The Avon smartwatch has a sleep monitor tracking and monitoring your sleep pattern at night. There is also a step counter, automatically counting your steps, with a goal setting option, accompanied by calorie counter.
Additional health function is a “drink reminder”, monitoring your water intake throughout the day, and reminds you if it’s time to get hydrated.
We haven’t check it out, but it says on its product information, then there is support for map trajectory. We believe it is via a connected GPS, as the smartwatch doesn’t have a built-in GPS. Additional functions are stopwatch counter, a feature good for working out or just doing some things that need a timer counter. There is also support for remote photo capture with its selfie timer tool
So far the smartwatch got basic health and fitness function. There are some things missing that we think should be included are heart rate monitoring as well as multi-sport mode. Below are the basic specifications of the Avon Smartwatch Akantha Gen 2.
