Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Images Leaked Online
There are a lot of talk on the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Band 5, several features and specs leaked online and a possible July release date is rumored.
Well, previously we wrote an article on leaked images of a possible Mi Band 5. And now here is another one but this time it is a different look. A user in Weibo shows a band that is similar to the look of the Mi Band 4. Still, a capsule like body, full color flat display and a possible combination of touch screen and touch key operation.
Based on the leaked images, you can hardly see and difference on the looks department with the Mi Band 5 and the Mi Band 4. But there is an obvious difference on the way you charge your Mi Band 5. Instead of a charging cradle, Xiaomi change the location of its power connector similar to that of the Mi Band 3, it is now on the bottom side. The charger is now plug-in type design. The Weibo user also state that there is an improvement on the battery life and the wearable sill cost around CNY 200. That is around $28 USD.
Additional functions rumored to come with the Mi Band 5 is the blood oxygen support. It think this feature is very possible as most fitness tracker right now integrate this type of monitoring especially for its sport monitoring function. There is also a talk of an Alexa integrated support for the Mi Band 5, an NFC integration that is available for Global Mi Band 5 version. Hopefully they will integrate these features to make the device more attractive, because in the looks department it is somewhat disappointing.
Right now, we still don’t have an exact release date for the band nor the price of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5. But expect that more details will be release online as the device is getting closer in its impending unveiling.
