Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is Coming, Finally Receives its Bluetooth Certification
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is a great wearable, it is the best-selling smartband in the market, it is two years already in the market but still it is a hot pick.
Although it received frequent firmware update, we have to admit, its hardware is already old and its already far behind compared to other newest smartband in the market. I guess it is right that Xiaomi should introduce the successor to the Mi Band 2, well of course it’s the Mi Band 3. The Mi Band 3 I think is long overdue, fans are already asking for it since last year, but Xiaomi is keeping mum on its plan with its next wearable.
Anyways, I guess the long wait is over as the Xiaomi Band 3 is coming, yes a document showing that Xiaomi Mi Band 3 has just been certified with the model number XMSH05HM, and runs the Bluetooth 4.2 BLE. (see screenshot below). We expect that the smartband will be unveiled in the upcoming MWC along with other Xiaomi tech products.
Just like the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, the Mi Band 3 specs will be equipped with a power saving processor, a long standby time battery maybe at least a month of battery life, and of course a better screen display, possibly color display screen with touch screen operation instead of touch key only. It is possible that the smartwatch will also going to be IP68 waterproof with multi-sport feature including swimming and hiking features.
