Redmi Band – Cheap Yet Functional Smartband

At last the Redmi Band is here, it was launched in China several days ago and so far, as expected it’s a sporty affordable fitness tracker.

Based on the looks and features of it, the band is expected to compete with the likes of the popular Xiaomi Mi Band 4 as well as the latest RealMe smartband.

Based on the presentation, the Redmi Band has a rectangular 1.08” inch OLED display, it’s a full color display with a full touch screen operation. Redmi also entice the fans with its 72 dial choices which gives more personalization option for the user. The body has the same color but the strap is available in different color options. Choices includes red, blue, green as well as black.

We don’t have the exact specs for the capacity of the battery, but according to the presentation is can last up to 14 days in just a single charge. One of its best feature is the USB-A port charging feature, which you can charge it directly into any USB port without the need of additional charging cable.

For its features, it got a motion sensor, heart rate monitoring. It got the basics such as call and message notifications, social app notifications. Health and fitness functions included are sedentary alert, sleep monitoring. 5 sports mode such as outdoor running, treadmill, walking, cycling and free exercise.

The Redmi Band is set to be released on April 9th at Xiaomi Mall. The smartband is expected to price at $14 U.S dollars. No details yet on the global released date but expect it to be available in leading international shopping sites.
