New Unique Oppo Smartband is in the Works
After the Oppo watch, Oppo is planning to follow it up with a smartband. Oppo has applied a patent to the state intellectual property office in China in preparation for the upcoming Oppo fitness tracker. This is not the first time that Oppo ventured into the fitness tracker world.
This is not the first time that Oppo released a smartband in the market. It has several fitness tracker in its list such as Weloop,O Band. These wearables do have a sporty design but don’t have that wow factor to compete with other popular fitness trackers. Remember Oppo watch? It made headlines when it was unveiled in the market, with the new smartband hope it will experience the same popularity.
Talking about the patent, the image shows a new and unique design. A capsule like body with a small screen and the body is encase/attached to a metallic frame. The smartband bottom part is also shown on the patent, a heart rate monitor as well as a power connector possibly magnetic charging.
Regarding the screen, it is not yet confirmed if it will have a full color display or it has a touch screen support. But based on the trend right now, it is very possible that the Oppo smartband will have color display.
And of course, it is expected that the smartband will have the usual call and message notifications, social app notifications. An auto step tracking, multi-sport mode and other options.
