After the Meizu Mix, a hybrid smartwatch from Meizu. The company did not follow a different version of the smartwatch. In fact, we thought that Meizu might be venturing into the world of wearables particularly smartwatches. But with the increasing popularity of smartwatches, it is hard to ignore this area. Finally, it introduces its own full-fledge smartwatch, the Meizu Watch. A wearable packed with advanced hardware features an eSIM. We have below the initial review of the Meizu Watch, know more about its features and specs.

Design

The Meizu Watch has a rectangular body, sporty sleek design. It is very light, weighing 69 grams only with its aluminum body. Plain design sleek body with a rectangular physical button on the side and microphone, while on the left side, is the speaker.

Looks trendy but it doesn’t provide any innovation in terms of design. In fact, it is no different from other wearables in the market in terms of design. The smartwatch is accompanied by a soft, sporty silicon strap similar to Apple Watch sport strap.

Display

It is equipped with a full-color AMOLED screen display. It has a 1.78” inch rectangular screen display with full-touch support. The wearable is much sharper, crispt with its 368 x 448 pixel resolution with 326 PPI. On top of that is a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass screen that is scratch resistant and with crystal clear charity.

Hardware

The wearable is a high-end smartwatch loaded with SnapDragon Wear 4100. On top of that is a fork Android OS, the FlyMe OS for smartwatches. For its storage, the smartwatch has 8 GB of storage space and 1 GB of RAM. Connectivity includes, 4G LTE with its eSIM functionality. There is also an NFC, a WIFI 2.4 Ghz, and Bluetooth 4.2. Sensors included are accelerometer, heart rate monitor, and blood oxygen sensor.

For its battery, the smartwatch has 420 mAh battery with 36 hours of battery life in just a single charge.

SOS Emergency Features

For safety and emergency situations, you can call someone directly in your emergency contacts with the SOS button. You can swipe, on the screen to make a call or tap on the button to signify that you are OK.

Aicy AI Assistant

With its built-in speaker and mic, you can ask your built-in personal assistant Aicy to ask about the current weather or set an alarm, and more.

Sports Tracking Feature

If you are into sports, the wearable is equipped with indoor and outdoor sports. There is running, walking, bowling, rowing, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, badminton, and free training. Each sports function can monitor the calories, heart rate, time, and distance.

Additional Functions included are:

Breath training, sleep monitoring, sedentary reminder, remote control for camera, Meizu Pay with its NFC function. There is also a power-saving feature for battery.
