H Band app is becoming a popular application for health focus smartwatches. Several health smartwatch especially with the function blood sugar monitoring.

The application is so far easy to install, and we did not encounter any issues at all when pairing with our smartwatch. It is also available in iOS, and Android platform, but majority of users who use the app is on Android with over 5 million + downloads as the time of this writing.

The UI of the H Band app is divided on three categories, the Dashboard, Workouts, and Mine.

Mine – It is the location of profile, permission management, goal settings, unit settings, app style, about section. This is where you also add your device, on the My Device section.

Workouts –  the section for sport fans, you can track the GPS trajectory of the app, see the historical record of your sport activities here.

Dashboard – it is the section for the following features:

  • Pedometer – shows the graphs for the daily steps
  • Sleep – shows the sleep stages, from light sleep, deep sleep, and awake time
  • Heart Rate – the section for the highs, and lows, and average beats per minute
  • Blood Pressure – it shows the graphs of systolic/diastolic
  • Blood Oxygen – similar to heart rate, it also shows the average daily SpO2 result.

This section is a module manager, in this section you have an option to add or remove the above module on the dashboard.

Problems and Issues with H Band App

No Module for the Blood Sugar Monitoring

One of the main issues with the H Band app, is the lack of dashboard or module for the blood sugar monitor. It is supposed to be the main feature for smartwatches with health functions, but sadly the feature is not included in the H Band app.  You can add different module but not the blood sugar monitor.

We are not sure if this is the case with other smartwatches, but with our F57L smartwatch, the blood sugar section module is not available. This is also one of the main complains when they bought other models with blood glucose function, but this section on the app is not available.

App Keeps Disconnecting to the Smartwatch

Although we did not experience this during our pairing. Some users reported that the connected between their smartwatch, and the H Band application is unstable. It keeps disconnected, and they have to pair every time that they have to use the smartwatch. Here are the steps on how to setup.

If you experienced this problem, check if there are other devices that is using the Bluetooth connection. Depending on your phone, usually, the smartwatch gets disconnected to the app when other devices is using the connection.

Inaccurate Reading of Health Functions

When it comes to accuracy of its health sensors, the culprit for this is low quality sensor that the smartwatch is using and has nothing to do with the support app.

The App is not Connecting After an Update

When you receive an update, and your smartwatch connectivity to the app becomes unstable. I guess you need to revert back to the version that works for you. There are other app websites that offers different versions of the H Band application.

Note:

The H Band app as the time of this writing has been updated to July 20, 2023, with the version 10.1, and require Android 5.0 and up. Still, despite the update we don’t see any option for the blood glucose module, that smartwatch users have been requesting for a long time.
