Design – Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is now one of the most popular watch band, I guess XIAOMi finally made it right on this wearable,, when it was first out in the market it is very inexpensive considering the features and the specs, but due to the increasing demand for this affordable fitness band, some seller is adding several dollars in its original price ( around $20, now $33 – $36 dollars). Anyways still affordable compared to other smartbands. The smartband has a central body that can be pop out in its rubber strap. It is removable, you can change to other third party watch strap or if you are are going to charge it you don’t have a choice but to remove it from its silicone strap.
It has a simple design, but still looks good and worth every penny for a watch strap, the OLED display provide a clear and bright display, no words from XIAOMI if what is the technology/material used in the glass but according to them its scratch resistant. it has a Anodized 0.05mm ultra-thin button beneath the screen used as a home /power button.
Under the Hood – just like other smartband the XIAOMI Mi band 2 sport several fitness features, a heart rate monitor and pedometer. It is able also to track your activities, sleep, weight and distance. Aside from fitness tracking, the smartband also provides notifications, text call and other services via vibrations with the aid of a Mi Fit app. Additional features include Intelligent Alarm Function, and you can also used your Xiaomi Mi band 2 to unlock your phone without a passcode. It’s a pretty good watch band considering the price, another aspect that makes the watch band attractive is the 70 mAh battery providing 20 days of battery life.
