Amazfit GTR Received an Always on Display Feature

The Amazfit GTR smartwatch is becoming popular due to its sporty look, premium design as well as its long battery life. The device available is 47 mm and 42 mm, with long standby time.

The GTR 47 mm has a 24 days of battery life in a typical usage and 74 days in basic watch mode and 40 hours when GPS is activated. While with 42 mm, the smartwatch has 12 days in normal usage, 34 days in basic watch mode and 22 hours when GPS is continuously on.

But despite this amazing battery life, Amazfit gives it another tick to prolong its battery life. Recent update adds “Always On Display” to the smartwatch, the updated version 1.3.4 added the additional option on the settings, aside from “screen on duration” option that provide the wearable  several seconds before switching off.

With regards to the update, seems like the “Always on Display” is available only for 47 mm version, no words if when will the 42 mm will receives it update. So far, only AGPS is being updated for 42 mm, fixing the inaccurate GPS. Tried the GPS several times and so far, it is far from accuracy, there are some improvement on the GPS but compared to Pace and Stratos, the GTR perform badly.
