Amazfit T-Rex Smartwatch – It is Certainly Rugged!
Finally, after the long line of classic, casual, sporty type of smartwatches from HUAMI. The company introduced its first full rugged smartwatch, the Amazfit T-Rex.
This week’s CES 2020 held at Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada unveiled the Amazfit T-Rex, an outdoor smartwatch with a rugged design. Take note it’s not just a typical rugged smartwatch but it’s a certified outdoor wearable with MIL-STD-810G certification. We also have seen this certification to popular wearable like Casio Protek rugged smartwatches and Garmin’s offering. The 12 grade certifications ensure its durability from hash environment. On its specs page, the smartwatch is heat resistance up to 70 degree C, -40 C in cold environment, 240h in humidity resistance and it is also durable from salt spray, acid and alkali resistance.
Going to its display, the wearable sport a high definition 1.3” inch AMOLED full color with always on display which is usually not the case for other rugged smartphone. The high definition display has 360 x 360 pixel resolution giving it a sharp, vivid color display. It is also loaded with different sport and fitness features such as a high precision GPS, loaded with Sony GPS chip with dual satellite positioning system.
It’s a cool sporty looking smartwatch with all of the characteristic of a rugged smartwatch. With all of the characteristic of a rugged smartwatch, with all of the good features and sensors. The feature that set it apart from other rugged smartwatches is its ultra-long battery life.
With its advanced low power consumption chip, Amazfit was able to push the battery life of T-Rex to 20 days in normal usage, 66 days in basic watch mode and with its built-in GPS activated it can reach up to 20 hours.

The Amazfit T-Rex smartwatch will be available in the market this month, in fact some tech shopping site has already started a PRESALE of the wearable. According to Amazfit, the smartwatch will be price aorun $140 USD and will be available in selected Amazfit partnered sites.
