Xiaomi Mi Band 4 – Possible Features, Specs

Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is Coming Soon Features, Specs

After the success of Xiaomi Mi Band 2, and its successor Xiaomi Mi Band 3, Xiaomi is preparing to follow it up with a new wearable. The Xiaomi Mi Band 4, this smartband received Bluetooth 5.0 certification and a surprising NFC support, remember that Xiaomi did not integrate NFC support for Mi Band 3 (see specs). But based on the new submission, and leaked information, there is another version without NFC, I guess it is much the cheaper version of the wearable.

Xiaomi Mi Band 3, to be followed by Xiaomi Mi Band 4

The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 was also confirmed by David Chui, the Chief Financial Office at Huami, according to David  the wearable will be released this 2019. No details yet on the specific of the smartwatch, but rumors are circulating that the wearable will have a color screen with touch key or touch screen interface and will have a much viewable screen outdoors. No words whether if one of the pricier version will have a built-in GPS or will rely on connected GPS or it will have a multi-sport mode.

But one thing is for sure with the upcoming wearable, it will have a low price, a lightweight portable design. Expect also to have a longer standby time, but it will not that far from Mi Band 3 due to  the color screen of the Mi Band 4 which expect it to have a color screen and much wider. Release date is sure to be this 2019, maybe in the third or 2nd quarter of this year.

What we Want in Xiaomi Mi Band 4

Display Screen

Wide display with touch screen support, not just touch key just like in the Mi Band 3. A color LCD or OLED will be much better similar to Cor series or a possible display similar to Amazfit BIP which has a good display output even in direct sunlight and a certainly power saver.

Features

Multi-sport mode with swimming feature, a much detailed sleep monitoring is great as well as HR monitoring. Option to read text messages and reply with predefined icons or messages. Hopefully  there will be a built-in GPS version of the smartband for those who love to workout outdoors.
