TicWatch GTW Smartwatch Equipped with eSIM – Review of Features
TicWatch quietly unveiled its latest smartwatch with built-in eSIM in the market. It’s the TicWatch GTW smartwatch, a sporty smartwatch with a similar design to that of the TicWatch Pro 3. We have the details below on its specs, and features, here is our initial review.
Design and Build Quality
The smartwatch has a circular design, with its sporty look. It measures 47 mm x 11.45 mm. It’s a bit thick due to its additional hardware for its eSIM. But still, the wearable is light weighing only 38 grams.
It has two physical buttons on its side for home/power button, and another one with a specific function. So far, the smartwatch is available only in one color, and with .22 mm silicon strap with quick release pin features. Its overall body has a good waterproof rating, an IP68 rating making it fully waterproof, splash proof, rain proof, and dustproof as well.
Display
The GTW smartwatch is a premium wearable, it is no surprise that Ticwatch loaded it with an AMOLED screen display, a sharp, crisp bright screen. It also has a good resolution with 454 x 454 pixels. On top is a tempered glass with crystal clear clarity.

eSIM Functionality
It has a built-in eSIM, giving the smartwatch a feature for independent calls. Users can initiate calls, and receive calls directly on the smartwatch. The wearable has a built-in mic and speaker to cater call directly in the smartwatch.
Multiple Sports Mode
When it comes to sports functions, the smartwatch has a comprehensive sports function. It has 100 sports loaded to the wearable. Sports included are mountaineering, walking, running, football, tennis, skateboarding, cycling, situps and more. With its TicMotion, a smart algorithm for motion tracking. It automatically recognized the users activity. With its sports monitoring, the smartwatch supports positioning with its built-in GPS, BEIDOU, GLONASS.
NFC Support
There is also a support for NFC, but we are not sure whether it works outside of China. The NFC supports 300+ city interconnection bus card. You can also use the NFC support for unlocking and exit as an access card.
Real Time Notifications
The smartwatch supports message notifications, SMS notifications, it also supports QQ, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, and more.
Health Monitoring Function
When it comes to health monitoring function, the smartwatch is equipped with optical heart rate monitoring, it is also included with blood oxygen detection, as well as an accelerometer and gyroscope.
