Wide, 49 mm Body Frame

Before the DT8 Ultra, we already have a different 45 mm ultra-clone. We are impressed with the 45 mm, but when we got the DT8 Ultra with its 49 mm body frame, it’s a whole new different smartwatch. We appreciate the big 49 mm body, it looks and feels “Premium”.

A crystal clear tempered glass, scratch proof and sits just below the bezel frame for protection.

Our Take on the Design and Display
When it comes to looks, the smartwatch is one of the best in its category. Its wide, well-built body frame is comfortable to wear. The screen display is also top-notch having a high screen resolution, sharp, crisp display with full touch support. We also found the screen to be very responsive, with smooth transition of its menus, and preloaded with good quality watch faces.
Stable, Clear Bluetooth Call Support
When it comes to calls and notifications, the smartwatch has a stable Bluetooth call. We did not have any issues at all connecting and setting it up with the app. We were able to dial calls, and receive calls directly with the smartwatch. Adding contacts is also easy, and so far the call is clear and crisp with its HD speaker and mic. The feature supports caller ID when the contact is added to the smartwatch.
Its message notifications such as SMS and app notifications, also work as intended. I was able to receive SMS notifications in real-time, read and delete them. It also supports app notifications, similar to SMS, you can also read messages directly on the device.
Fast Health Sensors
Equipped with new and advanced sensors, the smartwatch has several health monitoring functions. Below are the lists of health monitoring functions.
Heart Rate Monitoring – it provides results in less than 60 seconds. You will feel a slight vibration when the monitoring is done. Graphs is already available in the device with highs and lows of the beats per minute.
Blood Pressure monitoring – similar to HR, it’s a one-tap measurement to monitor your blood pressure. It monitors the systolic, and diastolic with charts available in the device.
Body Temperature Measurement – it records your skin temperature on demand. But unlike the above sensor. There are no graphs or 7 days data available to check in the smartwatch.
Other health functions available are blood oxygen monitoring, an ECG sensor. There is also a breath training function and women’s physiological function.
With regard to the above functions, the sensors are able to detect whether you are wearing the device or not. And so far, based on our comparison with a medical-grade device, the HR, BP shows a result that is close to the results of a medical-grade monitoring device.

So far, it got a decent battery life lasting several days on just one charge, with normal usage. For the standby time, I think it lasted over a week with just minimal decrease battery life. The charging is also quick with its wireless charging cable. Easy, and fast charging of the wearable. Using the health sensors with Bluetooth calls, drain the battery fast. Anyways it’s the same with other wearables, the good thing is that the DT8 Ultra smartwatch charges fast with its wireless charging feature.
