OnePlus Watch Smartwatch – Review of Features
The most awaited smartwatch from OnePlus is here, simply called OnePlus Watch. For several months we have been teased with its specs and features. And the last two weeks, images of the OnePlus Watch leaked online. There is a lot of hope for this new smartwatch from OnePlus, users expect it to be affordable and will be packed with features that is usually the trademark of OnePlus.
Finally, it is here, and as usual here in smartwatchspecifications, we will check its design and features. And we will provide our initial review on this smartwatch by OnePlus.
Design of OnePlus Watch
Well, we check on its product page, and so far we are impressed with its design. It is minimalist in appearance but it shouts elegance. The OnePlus Watch has a 316L stainless steel available in glossy midnight black color, and silver but there is a premium option, the Cobalt Limited Edition. The smartwatch measures 46.4 mm case and weighs around 76 grams with the strap included.
The smartwatch has two physical buttons on the side with the power button having OnePlus name branding on the button. It looks elegant with its rounded edges, minimalist but with a sporty feel, tech analyst compared the looks of the OnePlus Watch to the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. It has almost the same design concept.
The wearable comes with a fluoroelastomer strap with a quick-release pin feature. For the premium case, it comes with a leather strap giving it a corporate classy feel.
For its display, the OnePlus Watch has an AMOLED display, it is a full circular screen with a very slim bezel. The 1.39″ inch AMOLED screen has a 454 x 454 pixel resolution, it is sharp, with 326 PPI. Overall, the smartwatch has an IP68 waterproof rating, it is splash-proof, waterproof up to 50 meters, and dust-proof as well.

Features of the OnePlus Watch Smartwatch
One of the main features of the smartwatch is the Bluetooth call, it has a built-in speaker and mic. You can have a hands-free call right in your wrist, smooth connectivity with Bluetooth 5.0, BLE/BR/EDR. Of course, it got support for message notifications, whether it is SMS or social apps.

Another feature that users will love is the music player. It is not a Bluetooth control music but the smartwatch has built-in storage, at least 4 GB of storage space. Store your favorite music on the smartwatch and listen to it via a Bluetooth headphones.
Comprehensive Sports Functions
If you love sport and fitness, the wearable is equipped with at least 110 workout modes, it has cross trainer, rowing machine, badminton, mountaineering, walking, jogging, running, marathon, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, freestyle training, swimming, elliptical and more. Each sport functions monitor the distance, time, calories, heart rate, pace.
With regards to its swimming function, the smartwatch has a swimming posture recognition providing not just calories, speed but also other details on your swimming activity.
Get fit with the its variety of sports mode, it also has a built-in GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou to provide you an accurate trajectory of your sports activity.
Health Functions
Aside from heart rate monitoring, the OnePlus Watch is also equipped with blood oxygen saturation. It monitors your SpO2 while working out, sleep and provide insights on potential issues according to OnePlus.

Initial Review of the OnePlus Watch Smartwatch
So far, OnePlus did well in its design and features. It has a variety of features that is beyond the basics. It has a very affordable price but loaded with different sensors, and functions especially in its sports mode. I think the OnePlus Watch is a contender for Huawei, Amazfit and Mobvoi which offers similar quality wearables in the same price range. Right now, first impression of the smartwatch is positive, I guess the only issue is the lack of support right now in iOS. Will see in the coming weeks and months if the smartwatch have what it takes to compete.
