Design – the Fitbit Alta is a slim sport tracker but has a good screen display, so far it is one of the best looking fitness band/smartband by FitBit. It looks fashionable, sleek and combines the beauty of fashion and fitness tracker.

It provide notifications on your wrist without overdoing it, it’s simple it’s lightweight and beautiful with its touch screen interface and sharp OLED screen display. Its lightweight with its elastomer band that is interchangeable, you can get from Fitbit website different options from leather to metal straps.

Under the Hood –  just like its other wearable, Fitbit did not provide much details on the inner hardware but focuses more on its software features which made Fitbit one of the top wearable manufacturer in the market.

The Fitbit Alta employs smartrack technology to the band to have it an automatic feature for tracking your work-out, it auto recognize your walking, running, outdoor biking as well as other fitness routine. Other features include sedentary reminder, call, text  & calendar alerts, tap display,  auto sleep tracking. It could have been a solid fitness tracker if Fitbit just integrated it with a heart rate monitor and GPS. Well for the battery life, the wearable last up to 5 days in a single charge which is good in its category.
