Design

Xiaomi has a new smartwatch in its arsenal, the Xiaomi Mi Watch smartwatch, its a sporty trendy smartwatch, with a familiar design, looking at the images below, you know what i’m talking about. Yes, we can’t deny the fact that the this smartwatch from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Mi Watch is an Apple look like, but it’s a good imitation of the popular wearable. It has a curved body edge, a crown button pretty similar to the Apple Watch, it also has a special function for browsing through menus. The prominent capsule like button on the side of the body just below the crown button screams Apple watch design. If you are going to take a look at it, it is like an Apple Watch/size down iPhone 4.

It looks sporty and with a premium look, having an aluminum alloy body and ceramic  back cover, a sporty silicon strap available in silver, gray, black and blue colors.

It has an independent speaker on the left and a microphone on both sides of the body, on the bottom is a heart rate monitor. It looks sporty and premium having aluminium alloy body frame and a ceramic back cover.

Display

The screen is beautiful, it is sharp, clear with its 1.78” inch AMOLED display, It has 368 x 448 pixel resolution with 326 PPI. The display provide high definition display with full touch screen operation. The display is protected by a curved rectangular screen, there are two options a Corning Gorilla glass known to be durable from scratches and chipping and a sapphire crystal glass for a premium edition.

Under the Hood

According to its specs, the Xiaomi Mi Watch smartwatch is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3200, 1.2 Ghz, it has 8 GB on board storage, 1 GB of RAM. Sensors included are heart rate sensor, Spo2 sensor, accelerometer, gyro and barometer.

For its connectivity, there is an eSIM functionality, WIFI, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC as well as a built-in GPS. When it comes to NFC, seems like it only works in China only (payment), no words if there is a Global version for it.

Features

According to sources, the Xiaomi Mi Watch smartwatch is running Wear OS by Google but with the MIUI skin, the user interface is somewhat  pattern to the UI of Xiaomi smartphone line-up of Xiaomi but personalized to suit for the Mi Watch. The wearable has a full touch screen support but it also uses the crown button for navigation.

The smartwatch supports call and message notifications, auto sleep tracking with calorie and distance counter, multi-mode sports ( at least 10 professional sports), high quality watch faces with watch face store, Xiaomi AI assistant, sedentary reminder, sleep tracking. It is also preloaded with 40 apps exclusive for Mi Watch.

Battery

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Smartwatch has 570 mAh battery with 36 hours of battery life in just a single charge. Not that much compared to Amazfit GTS but far more better compared to other Wear OS driven wearables.
