Physical Looks – the smartwatch has a traditional look, a rectangular form factor, sporting a 1.48” TFT LCD screen with a 128 x 128 capacitive touch screen, don’t expect an HD screen, the U watch provide an ok graphics, not impressive but readable. The U8 Smartwatch shows simplicity on its design with a power button on the side, and a micro usb port and speaker. It has a rubber strap with stainless steel buckle.
It’s not a fully waterproof watch, so don’t get excited on swimming in or taking a shower while wearing your watch, it is not scratch proof either, if you are clumsy expect that your watch will get some scratch. If you are not a fan of black color, a rose red and ivory color might suits you.
Under the Hood – despite its shortcomings on the physical aspect, the watch does have some good features. It has pedometer, barometer, passometer. Software and app features include hands-free call, stop watch, reminders, alarms. See sms notifications, and messages from social sites Facebook, WeChat, Twitter, WhatsApp, Skype. OverAll – it’s a pretty cool watch, and it’s safe to say “U8 Smartwatch” is one of the cheapest smartwatch in the market, I really wonder how the company was able to manage to dropped the price to under $10 dollars only, it is still an enigma to me. It is compatible with both iOS and Android but the company says that with iOS there are some features that will not work. Overall it is a good watch considering the price, but of course there are some issues including pairing the watch with an Android phone, it’s hard to look for the updated and working .apk for the watch, the battery life is also an issue as well as some functions don’t work, anyways some says it’s worth the game for $10 dollar watch.
Take Note: Correct me if I’m wrong the U8 smartwatch is sold by different brands, I think it’s the product by UWatch and the other U8 smartwatches is just a rebranded of the U8, brands like Pandaoo, Pinnaclz, VCALL, GeekEra, LEMFO, Yuntab, JACKLEO, MeGooDo to name a few. It has a different brand but if you are going to take a look at the specs and features they are all the same, even the price is not that far from each other, so it’s up to you if what is the brand that you would like to buy.
