Lenovo EGO Smartwatch – Specs Review
Design
Lenovo continuous to bring new and exciting wearable in the market, the latest is the Lenovo EGO smartwatch. Unlike previous wearable of LENOVO, t his smartwatch focuses on simplicity and long battery life. The smartwatch has a sporty design, somewhat like a g-shock type design. The body is a bit rugged with physical buttons for operation. It also has a sporty strap with stainless steel buckle. Due to its durable design, the smartwatch is waterproof up to 50 meters.
Display
The Lenovo EGO smartwatch has a monochrome display, it is reflective making it viewable even in direct sunlight. It also has a dedicated light button, that illuminate the display at night. Take note that the display don’t support touch screen instead it uses its physical buttons to operate. The 1.6” inch LCD display might not be that fancy compared to color LCD or AMOLED screen but due to its technology, it gives the smartwatch more longer battery life.
Under the Hood
The smartwatch is packed with different sensors and features. It has a heart rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope. It is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 and supports Android and iOS platform with operating distance of about 10 meters.
Features
Although it has a very simple display, it is packed with features and options. It supports step monitoring accompanied with distance and calorie counter. It also has a sleep tracker and stop watch.
Notifications
It can receive notifications via vibration, whether its call or message. There is no display for notification but instead you will feel a vibrating alert when you receive one.
Battery
The Lenovo EGO has a long battery life, it has 20 days of normal usage (without heart rate monitoring) in just a single charge, with the charging time of about 2 hrs. They did state if what is the capacity of the Lithium iOn battery, but its uses magnetic charging for its charging technology.
