Design

Check this sporty fitness smartwatch from Garmin, Garmin Venu Sq smartwatch. This wearable unlike previous entry by Garmin, has a much modest design, somewhat like a Fitbit or an Apple Watch entry. The wearable has a rectangular design that is stylish with two physical buttons on the side. The body is made from fiber reinforced polymer that is light and durable. It has a anodized aluminum bezel that is available in different color options.

The smartwatch is partnered with a silicon strap with stainless steel bezel and it is waterproof up to 5 ATM.

Display

When it comes to display, the wearable has a 1.3″ inch LCD screen with always on display feature. It has a 240 x 240 pixel resolution with full touch screen option. It is bright, sharp and with crisp text display. The overall screen display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3, known to be scratch proof.

Under the Hood

The Garmin Venu Sq smartwatch is packed with sensors such as Garmin Elevate™ wrist heart rate monitor, Accelerometer, Thermometer yes (with a separately sold accessory), Ambient light sensor, Pulse ox blood oxygen saturation monitor, Compass, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO. The company did not state the exact memory of the smartwatch but stated that is has at least 200 hours of activity data. It has NFC support, Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity compatible with Android and iOS platform.

Features

The smartwatch is loaded with features. It has alarm, timer, stopwatch, health monitoring, this includes heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, sleep monitoring, menstrual cycle, hydration, weather, calendar, find my phone, find my watch, Garmin Pay, smart notifications, automatic activity tracking and other sport activity tracking functions.

Battery

Having a lithium ion battery, the smartwatch has at least 6 days in smartwatch mode, while 14 hours on GPS mode.
