Samsung finally released the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, this smartwatch is so far the simplest and sleekest smartwatch to date by Samsung in terms of design. Measuring 39.5 x 39.5 x 10.5 mm and weighing 25 grams only without the strap. The Galaxy Watch Active has a sporty look with its aluminium body, a plain bezel with just two physical buttons on the side, a back key and home key and on the bottom is a heart rate sensor.
The strap is silicon, removable and compatible with .2o mm band. There are at least 4 color options for the smartwatch black, silver, rose gold and green color. This smartwatch is really far different from previous smartwatches by Samsung, this one don’t have that fancy rotating bezel, no rugged look to it or other gimmick, just plain premium look and design, the rotating bezel is ditch to make the smartwatch have a sleeker built.
Overall, the body has an IP68/MIL-STD-810G rating, waterproof up to 5 ATM, you can wear it during washing or swimming.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active has a 1.1” inch display screen, a full circular Super AMOLED screen with always on display feature. It has a 360 x 360 pixel screen resolution. It is sharp and with high definition touch screen display, it is Super AMOLED so expect the screen to have a clear vivid display. The Super AMOLED is protected by Corning Gorilla glass, protecting the display from getting scratches and chipping.

The smartwatch Galaxy Watch Active runs the Exynos 9100 1.15 Ghz processor, the processor is known to r un popular high end smartwatch. It is fast as well as it is low power consumption processor. Powered by a much mature Tizen OS for wearable; the Tizen OS 4.0. The UI is simple and much easier to navigate, although there is no rotating bezel to navigate selecting menus and options is simple with its intuitive UI.
It has 4 GB of storage space and with 0.75 GB of RAM, it is packed with sensors such as accelerometer, barometer, gyro sensor, heart rate monitor sensor and light sensor. Its sport feature is accompanied with GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU and GALILEO providing you accurate and real time location. The wearable is connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2, and it is also loaded with WIFI connectivity and NFC.
