Huawei Honor Band 5 Smartband – Specs Review
Design
Honor Band series is back with the Huawei Honor Band 5. The smartband has the same style with the Huawei Band 3 and 4. Simple, flat display with sporty, durable TPU strap. It has a waterproof rating up to 5 ATM, you can even wear it while swimming. The Huawei Honor Band 5 is available in black, blue and pink color.
When it comes to design, the band is just ok, I wish Huawei could have go for a different design, far from the look of the Band 3 and 4 differentiating it from the familiar design.
Design
The smartband has a full color AMOLED display. It has a 0.95” inch display with 240 x 120 pixel resolution. It has a sharp, bright full color screen that is viewable even outdoors. I guess the display separate the Honor Band 5 from other wearable with the same color display. The smartband supports touch screen method of operation.
Under the Hood
When it comes to sensors, the Honor Band 5 is packed with it. It has 6 axis sensor, infrared wear detection, PPG, blood oxygen detection. It has Bluetooth 4.2 and compatible with Android 4.4 and iOS 9.0.
Features
When it comes to features, the Huawei Honor Band 5 is packed with variety of functions. It has an accurate sleep monitoring with its TruSleep technology. With this technology, it is capable of identifying and providing advices on your sleep issues. TruSeen Real Time heart rate, get 24 hours of accurate real time heart rate monitoring.
Multi-Sport Mode
It is packed with outdoor running, indoor running, outdoor walking, outdoor cycling, swimming and many others. Social app notifications, received call and messages with the option to reject calls.
Battery
The battery has 100 mAh lithium polymer battery with 20 days of standby time. 6-14 days of usage, depends on if the sensors are activated or not.
