Garmin Venu Smartwatch – Specs Review
Design
Garmin Venu smartwatch, the latest and the most unique smartwatch from Garmin, the smartwatch is far from rugged design of Garmin like Fenix, VivoActive. The Venu is somewhat sporty and classy with the taste of fitness and health. Having a simple, slim bezel, the smartwatch is designed for those who want to wear a fitness smartwatch for casual wear.
The wearable has 43.2 x 43. 2 x 12.4 mm in measurement and weighs 46.3 grams only. Its body is fiber reinforced polymer rear cover and with a stainless steel bezel. Its strap is a standard .22 mm with quick release pin for easy replacement. Overall, the smartwatch is waterproof up to 50 meters and with features for swimming.
Display
The smartwatch is also very different from other wearables of Garmin. The Venu smartwatch is the first wearable of Garmin to feature AMOLED display. It has a 1.2” inch full color AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixel resolution. The gorgeous display, I think is aimed to compete with likes of Samsung Galaxy Active, Wear OS wearables as well as Apple Watch that features sharp, full color screen having a display technology such as AMOLED or retina color screen. The smartwatch screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla glass 3.

Again no details on the processor, but with its connectivity, it includes Bluetooth, WIFI and NFC. For the storage, the wearable has 14 days of activity tracking data, able to store up to 500 songs.

Activity tracking includes step counter accompanied with calorie and distance counter, it also has all day stress tracking. Sport features are running, golfing, cycling, swimming and more. The sport features of the smartwatch are accompanied by heart rate data and other status. The Garmin Venu has Connect iQ where you can download watch faces, widgets and apps.
