Design

One of the most loved wearable from Amazfit the Amazfit BIP got a new upgraded version, the Amazfit BIP S Smartwatch. The smartwatch has the same look with that of the BIP wearable, the same lightweight polycarbonate body and soft sporty silicon strap. The body has a single button one the side, a 316L stainless steel button instead of a PC material similar to BIP. The body has a bit different color, it has a two tone color smartwatch design. So far, no major redesigned overhaul, in fact they have the same weight. The strap is still durable having a soft feel, dry and dirt resistant material. The body is waterproof up to 50 ATM and with 4 color options, pick from red orange, carbon, black, white rock, warm pink color smartwatch.

Display

Still it has a power saving display, having transflective LCD display that has good viewing angles even outdoors. The 1.28” inch transflective color TFT LCD provide sharp and bright colors. With 176 x 176 pixel resolution and with always on display feature. It is protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla 3 tempered glass with anti-fingerprint coating. Still, it is a power saver screen with good display visibility even in direct sunlight.

Under the Hood

The Amazfit BIP S smartwatch, is loaded with sensors, still it has BioTracker PPG Bio tracking optical sensor, 3 axis acceleration sensor, 3 axis geomagnetic sensor. It also has a GPS + GLONASS for outdoor sport tracking. The BioTracker is a self developed optical sensor by HUAMI, it is much precise and using only one fifth the power of previous generation products. According to HUAMI, its HRM has 98% accuracy.

The wearable has Bluetooth 5.0 BLE compatible with Android 5.0 and iOS 10.0 and above. On top of this is the HUAMI’s very own operating system, the Amazfit OS.

Features

The smartwatch features at least 10 sports modes it has walking, running, cycling, treadmill, bike indoors, swimming, weightlifting and more. Each sport mode has track display, speed, heart rate, distance and calorie. Other sport supports GPS, it also has continuous heart rate monitoring, that can monitor your HR throughout the day. It also has the HUAMI PAI health assessment system. Additional functions included are call and message reminder, weather, forecast, timer, alarm and more.

Battery

Just like the BIP the Amazfit BIP S has a 40 days battery life, with its 200 mAh lithium ion polymer battery, it has 90 days of standby time and 22 hours in GPS mode.
