It is not just Samsung Gear Sport that is expected to be unveiled by Samsung, recent leaked information suggest that Samsung is also preparing the next version of the Gear Fit 2, the leaked images shows that Samsung may first introduced the Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro, a fitness band with advance fitness features.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is a fitness tracker with major upgrade compared to Gear Fit 2. The smartband although it look pretty similar to Gear Fit 2 has a much wider screen, based on the rendered images it has a very slim bezel, it is almost non-existent. It looks like it doesn’t have a removable strap, but still has a silicon strap with a two tone color design. Based on the images there are two physical buttons on either side of the body, I think it is for navigation or a pre-defined function for a specific action or app.

Aside from rendered images, some features of Fit 2 Pro have also been reported, such as IP68 waterproof rating up to 5 ATM, with support for swim feature. Additional features include a built-in GPS that will surely attract runners and outdoor buff. Just like the Gear S3, the Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro will have an offline support for Spotify able to save and play music on Gear Fit 2 Pro.
So far, no details on the other specs of the Gear Fit 2 Pro, even the release date has not yet been confirmed, report suggest that it will be on August 23, alongside the Samsung Note 8, others say that it will be on IFA 2017 in Berlin.
Whether it will be available on 23 or not, one thing is for sure, it will be in the market soon and we are very excited about it, especially about those fitness sensors integrated on the wearable.
